Josh Andrews was born and raised in Southeast Alaska and has been in education since 1997. He served the Trust from 2006 through 2009 and was happy to be reelected in 2015. He enjoys the Trust work and finds it satisfying to work with such a high-functioning board.
Kathy Bell is a nurse for the Anchorage School District and works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Providence Hospital. She led, initiated, and received approval for a city-wide CPR training course for all middle school students. Kathy was named 2006 Alaska School Nurse of the Year as award by the Alaska School Nurses Association. She has served as a Trustee since 1998 working on behalf of the Trust members.
Steve Byers has been a Special Education teacher for 21 years. Three of these have been in the villages in the Arctic. He is a avid outdoorsman who believes in the preservation and usage of our state's natural resources. Steve is motivated as a Trustee by his belief that good benefits need to be supported by a transparent and strong Public Education Health Trust. He is honored and proud to serve the members of the Trust in this capacity.
Tim Parker is an educator of 18 years with the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. Prior to teaching Tim worked as a reporter for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner and the Ketchikan Daily News. Tim works tirelessly to help educators improve their practice, which results in improvements to student learning throughout Alaska. Tim was a Trustee from 2008-2010 and rejoined the Trust in July 2016 as it began its 20th year.
