Open Enrollment is here: your annual opportunity to review your benefits and make changes for the coming plan year (July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023).

Your plan may have changed!!! Some Associations/Districts added new or modified existing benefit plan offerings for this upcoming year. Please verify you have selected the plan that meets your family’s needs. Contact your association for details. Please login on www.ebms.com to review or make any changes.

How to Enroll

If you are enrolled and wish to change your plan selection offered by your Association/Employer, you will need to access your miBenefits portal during open enrollment to make any changes. This process must be completed no later than 4:30 m. on Friday, June 17, 2022. The portal provides you the list of dependents on your plan. If you are adding dependents who are not currently enrolled, you must include verification they are an eligible dependent by attaching documentation (i.e. marriage or birth certificate, etc.) Please contact either the Trust or your human resource department for options.

If you are currently waived and wish to enroll; you must contact the PEHT office for us to send you an email invite to access the miBenefits portal. The email invite will provide you access to the enrollment process. All required steps must be completed no later than 4:30 m. on Friday, June 17, 2022.

If you are currently enrolled and wish to waive coverage; login into miBenefits prior to and no later than 4:30 m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, to waive. Please note: Some school districts require proof of other coverage to be eligible to waive from this plan. Please contact your human resources department for their criteria.

The Trust recommends that you review your dependents listed to ensure accuracy. With appropriate documentation the Trust provides coverage for spouses, qualified domestic partners, children up to the age of 26, and individuals for whom you are the legal guardian up to their age of 18. A complete listing of your dependents can be found on your miBenefits secured portal at www.ebms.com

Plan Changes Effective July 1:

  • Providence Express Clinic Expansion — Providence Medical Group has opened a new primary care clinic and urgen care clinic in Midtown Anchorage to better serve the PEHT membership's health care needs.
  • Removal of the $500 Emergency Room Deductible — When members seek care through emergency rooms, they will no longer be required to pay the additional $500 deductible (per incident).
  • Prescription Drug Out of Pocket Miximum — The Trust will be implementing a standalong Prescription Out of Pocket Maximum. Currently the cap on prescription coinsurance is tied to the Super Global Out of Pocket Maximum. Inserting a lower annual cap on prescription coinsurance will assist our members.
  • Removal of inpatient copay — The inpatient copay has been removed on all core plans.

Go365 Wellness Program
The Trust is pleased to continue the incentive program through Go365 as a way to engage members on maintaining or improving their health. Earn "BUCKS" to your favorite charity! Over 52% of the membership recieved a 2% discount for the 21-22 rates because of reaching the employer participation requirements. I fyou haven't already, please consider getting active and joining this program. Once again, groups that meet the Go365 engagement criteria during FY2022, will receive a 2% discount on the next year (FY2023) premium. Contact the Trust office or see your association/employer for more information about the incentive program.
