Shelby Beck

Shelby Beck is a teacher from Craig City School District. She has taught for 19 years in Alaska at the high school and middle school levels. Shelby’s goal is to advocate for quality, cost-effective healthcare for educators and their families. As a resident of the state since 1974, Shelby understands the challenges educators face in securing quality insurance and accessing health services. Additionally, her background in emergency medical services gives her a unique perspective on the physical and financial obstacles to healthcare in rural Alaska.
